Background
Since 1979, Ross, Kerby and Associates has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to local individuals and businesses. Ross, Kerby and Associates’ expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as financial statements and financial planning.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help clients maintain financial viability in the present while taking a proactive approach to achieve future goals. This requires open communication to reach an understanding of our clients' needs, thorough research and sound analysis. Ross, Kerby and Associates is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism.
Our Team
Mr. Ross graduated with honors from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, receiving a BBA in Accounting. He worked for a small national accounting firm in Dallas prior to returning to public practice in McKinney in January 1972. Mr. Ross is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He has been active in civic affairs in the McKinney area. He served for seven years as a member of the Board of Trustees for McKinney Public Schools, eight years as President and Director of the Boys Club of McKinney, Director of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, President of the McKinney Jaycees, McKinney United Way Co-Chairman and twelve years as Secretary/Treasurer of the McKinney Industrial Development Corporation. He worked with the McKinney Council for Chemical Awareness as a director and volunteer. He has been active in little league football, basketball and summer track programs as coach, organizer and referee.

Mr. Kerby is a life-long resident of the McKinney area. He is married and has two children. After graduating with honors from the University of North Texas, Mr. Kerby worked with an international accounting firm in Dallas until founding the firm of Ross, Kerby & Associates in McKinney.
He is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. In addition to tax preparation and planning for individuals, partnerships and corporations, he acts as a qualified intermediary for Code Sec 1031 Like Kind Exchanges of Real Estate.
Mr. Kerby has been and is active in the McKinney area. For seven years he was chairman of the McKinney Planning and Zoning Board and was a City of McKinney At-Large councilman for nine years. He has served on the North Texas Municipal Water District and McKinney Community Development Corporation. He has been active as a volunteer, officer and board member for the United Way, McKinney Chamber of Commerce, The Lions Club, Ducks Unlimited, McKinney Housing Authority, Habitat for Humanity and the Mickey Mantle World Series of Baseball tournament held in McKinney.

Mrs. White has been a certified public accountant since 1981. She received her BBA in Accounting in 1981, and worked as a business manager, auditor and tax accountant in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee prior to moving to Texas in 1995. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Currently licensed in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, she works with estate, trust, small business, individual and partnership clients in planning, tax and financial statement preparation.
She has been an active fund raiser and volunteer for schools, church and non-profit organizations in the communities where she has lived and worked. Mrs. White and her husband Larry have two daughters and two granddaughters living in the Dallas area.

After graduating with honors from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1978, Ms. Hueston worked for seven years with two international accounting firms in their auditing departments. She has been with Ross, Kerby & Associates since moving to McKinney in 1998.
Ms. Hueston works with individuals, partnerships, corporations, governmental entities and non-profit organizations in preparation of both tax returns and financial statements. She is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma and Virginia and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Hueston is an active volunteer for various nonprofit organizations in the McKinney area and has two children.

Mrs. Willis graduated from Wichita State University with honors. She has been in public accounting since 1985 with experience in tax preparation, payroll reporting, bookkeeping and financial statement preparation. She has worked for the firm since moving to McKinney in January, 1994. Candy is married and now lives in Denison, Texas.

Mrs. Holsinger has been with Ross, Kerby & Associates since September, 1997. She has an extensive background in accounting with over twenty-five years experience in write-up including but not limited to manufacturing, oil and gas, physicians, retail; payroll and payroll tax returns; as well as preparation of income taxes. She and her husband Donn have two children and two grandchildren; all live in the Dallas area.

Jenna graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master’s in Accounting in 2008. She began her career in Kansas with a national public accounting firm prior to moving to Texas in 2009 and has been with Ross, Kerby & Associates since February 2010. Jenna has experience in trust and estate tax along with individual, partnership, and corporate tax.
Jenna volunteers with Relay for Life and other organizations in the McKinney area. She enjoys cooking for friends and spending time with her boyfriend, family, and dog Mac.

Mrs. Blades graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University in 1984 with a BBA in Management and a minor in Accounting. She and her husband moved to McKinney in July 2008, and she has been with the firm since November of 2008. She has over 15 years of tax experience working in two CPA firms and for the Missouri Department of Revenue. She is an enrolled agent, enrolled to practice before the IRS.
Mrs. Blades is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Texas Association of Enrolled Agents, and she is also an officer in the Plano chapter. She has been an active volunteer with both the VITA and TCE programs in Missouri, which provide free tax preparation for the elderly and low-income. She and her husband Neal have one daughter and one granddaughter.

John was born and raised in Texas. In 2010 John graduated from the University of North Texas with his Master of Science: Taxation. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2008 with his BBA in Accounting. His educational background includes partnerships, estates, trusts, as well as individual and corporate tax.

Lainie Kai is a transplant from the Pacific Northwest. She moved to Texas in 2005, and came to Ross, Kerby & Associates in the fall of 2009. As Office Manager, she is typically the first point of contact for our clients. Her professional experience includes reception, administrative and management responsibilities. She resides in McKinney with her long-term boyfriend and their two pets, Bogey the beagle, and Rosie the cat.
